Junk to Geaux

Pricing

Every job is quoted. Here's exactly how.

A load of cardboard and a load of scrap steel are not the same job, so we don't hand out one flat price. Three things decide yours, and you hear the number before anything goes on the truck.

What decides the price

Material. Amount. Distance.

1

What it is

Materials cost different amounts to get rid of. Scrap metal, cardboard and a mixed load of household junk each go to different places with different fees, and some materials are heavy for their size.

2

How much there is

We measure your junk against our 7.2 cubic yard bed: a quarter load, half, three quarters, a full load or more. Heavy material is planned by weight as well as size.

3

Where it goes

The drive from you to the drop-off site. That covers fuel, wear and maintenance on the truck, and any disposal fees the site charges.

Load guide

What a quarter, half and full load look like

Rough examples to help you picture it. Real piles pack differently, which is why photos beat guesses.

1/4 load

about 1.8 yd³

A couch and a chair, or about a dozen trash bags

1/2 load

about 3.6 yd³

A bedroom set, or a small storage room

3/4 load

about 5.4 yd³

A crowded one-car garage corner, or an office room

Full load

7.2 yd³

About three and a half pickup-truck beds

Pace out the length, width and height of the pile in feet. Multiply them and divide by 27 for cubic yards. Or let this do it.

A guide for planning, not a price. Weight, material and haul distance all change the quote.

Questions

Pricing, answered

Do you have a price list?+

No. Every job is quoted, because the material, the amount and the haul distance change from job to job. A flat price would overcharge small jobs or undercharge big ones.

What's the fastest way to get a quote?+

Text us a few photos: one of the whole pile, close-ups of anything heavy, and the path from the junk to where the truck can park. Add the address and we can price it.

Can the price change on the day?+

Only if the job is different from what was described: more junk, different materials, or a much harder carry. If that happens, we tell you the new price before we load anything, and you decide.

What does the price include?+

Loading, hauling and the drop-off. The price you approve covers our labor, the drive and any disposal fees.

What if I have more than one load?+

We run more than one trip with the truck we have, and the quote says how many. A larger roll-off is joining the fleet soon for the big jobs.

Why do farther jobs cost more?+

Fuel, drive time and wear on the truck. The farther the job and the drop-off site, the more of each it takes.

Ready for a real number?

Send photos and an address. That's all it takes to price most jobs.
